The ADI Part 1 test has two sections
You must pass both the multiple-choice and hazard-perception sections at the same sitting.
Multiple Choice
The test contains 100 questions divided into four categories. You must score at least 20 out of 25 in each category.

Hazard Perception
You will watch 14 video clips showing everyday road scenes and identify developing hazards as early as possible.
- 13 clips contain one developing hazard
- Each single hazard is worth up to 5 points
- One clip contains two developing hazards
- The double-hazard clip is worth up to 10 points

What is the pass mark for the ADI Part 1 multiple-choice test?
You need an overall score of at least 85 out of 100 and must score at least 20 out of 25 in each of the four categories.
What is the hazard-perception pass mark?
The required hazard-perception score is 57 out of 75.
How many hazard-perception clips are included?
There are 14 clips. Thirteen contain one developing hazard and one clip contains two developing hazards.
